The weekend looked to be busy, so on Thursday morning I ventured out for my first 10 miles in about 3 years.  It went really well…for a reason NEW to me.

I purchased Amy Poehler’s new book, “Yes, Please”.  It is awesome!  She is smart, funny and OH, really FUNNY!! I got the audiobook and it was exactly what I needed to keep my mind OUT of running…

People think because I am a trainer, that I ALWAYS want to work out, ALWAYS want to run.  That is not the case.  I was pretty nervous heading out for those 10 miles…it had been a long time…what if I got too tired to continue?  What if my back, hip, hamstring, knee injury returned?  Worst of all, sometimes I let my HEAD get in the way.  I let myself BELIEVE that I’m tired, need to stop, can’t go further.  That’s the worst because it’s not even close to true.  If I could do 8 the week before, I could do 10, right?  The audiobook took my head out of the game and allowed me to just RUN.

You are capable of doing so much more than you think you can.
