Here’s the challenge:  Exercise every day during the month of February.

NOW, before you have a fit – – hear me out.

I am not necessarily talking about a 30-60 minute workout each day (although that would be great).  I AM talking about getting SOME activity in – BEYOND YOUR NORMAL AMOUNT – each day.

Here are the rules –

Things that WOULD count:  a training session 🙂 ; taking a walk before work, during lunch, after dinner; running/walking on a treadmill; taking a class; walking the stairs at work for 10 minutes in a row; watching an OnDemand 15-minute workout video; doing 3 sets of push-ups/sit ups when you wake up; during the commercials, do sit-ups, dips, squats or any combination thereof; using a 7-minute app like this one here (my friend produced it with J&J).  Here is one for android.

Things that would NOT count:  Doing laundry; walking up and down the stairs at work as part of a regular day; shopping at Target.

The good news?  February is ONLY 28 days AND you get 3 days to take “off” whenever you would like.

I will be posting workout ideas every few days, so check back here.  If you “like” my Facebook page or follow me on Twitter, you will see them there.

I WILL BE DOING THIS CHALLENGE WITH YOU!  Posting those workouts, as well.

Give it a try.  The idea is to stay active to stave off the winter blues and unwanted weight gain.

Start with a week. 5 minutes each day?  10? 20?

See how you feel.
