…What a GREAT exercise week!  People think that because I’m a trainer the following things are true:

  • I ALWAYS WANT to workout
  • I FEEL GOOD during all my workouts
  • I workout EVERYDAY

Not the case.  Working backwards…I’ve mentioned the importance of REST before, so the LAST bullet is DEFINITELY NOT true.  I aim for 5 days a week of legitimate WORKOUTS. With this challenge I am getting in a 6 solid days with an easier 7th day of an extra walk, planks, etc.

I do not always feel good and I do not always love what I am doing right at that moment. What DOES happen – every single time – is that AFTER I’m done, IF I have put TRUE effort in – I feel a TON better that I did it.  I have said to my in-person clients that the days you really SHOULD workout are the ones that you don’t feel like it.

The first bullet goes along with the point above.  Motivation for EVERY HUMAN ebbs and flows.  There are days that I am really excited about throwing on my sneakers and running or lifting…and there are ABSOLUTELY times that I either feel I don’t have the time or energy OR the DISCIPLINE to get going.

It is THOSE times when we must…
