Yesterday I had a question on my Facebook page about the “eight, 8-ounce glasses” of water I am challenging you to drink during H2OMe. I was really excited to get the question…I WANT you all to be involved with what I write about.

The question was, “Is the 8, 8-ounce glasses of water based in science?” He included a great video that I commented on, but it got me thinking. I spent some time yesterday afternoon doing some research.

I looked only for RECENT articles from SCIENTIFIC sources, versus USAToday or a fitness magazine. I didn’t find a ton but here are links to the two that I DID find.

The answer to the question is NO. The 8, 8-ounce glasses is not a DEFINITE number…it is not the FINAL answer on what we need.

After reading these articles, however, I am sticking with it for our challenge.

One sentence that I think summarizes the Mayo Clinic article nicely is this:

“You may need to modify your total fluid intake depending on how active you are, the climate you live in, your health status, and if you’re pregnant or breast-feeding.”

The purpose of this challenge is to FOCUS – or in many cases RE-FOCUS ourselves ON ourselves. To START to put ourselves as a priority. These 10 days are JUST THE BEGINNING.

A simple, yet powerful way to take control of how we are feeling.

We begin on FRIDAY, September 1st…join us now. Sign up HERE.
