I have mentioned in other posts that I am working on building some MUSCLE lately. This personal project has professional reasons, as well.
Historically I have been a “cardio queen”…I have run since I was 16, taken aerobics, step aerobics, spinning…ALL of them…couldn’t get enough. I have noticed as I age (#thisis48) that the effect that that cardio used to have isn’t there anymore. For example, if I gained a few pounds…no problem…run for a week or two and *POOF* it’s gone!
Always looking to learn more…for myself AND my clients…I did some research. Strength training is the BEST way to affect your body…both in terms of how you look and how you feel.
