But I don’t like running…

If you don’t like running FIND SOMETHING ELSE!

On Thursday I went to a local gas station. The attendant said that he had seen me running all over Livingston (a slight exaggeration, but I liked it J). I told him that I used to work as a personal trainer in the gym that had been next door and still liked to run the courses that I had set up back then.

He then shared this GREAT story. He had recently lost 40 pounds…LINE DANCING! He was in his early 30s and had gone to a “honky tonk bar” (the website’s words, not mine) with a friend…kind of on a lark…and really enjoyed it. His first dance partner that night was a 92-year old woman…they have been dancing together now for 2 years!!!

I LOVE hearing stories like that. Why?

Well, what is a MAJOR key in consistency with your FITNESS? A key to consistency is finding something you ENJOY. It’s really just common sense, find something you LIKE doing and you’re bound to do it more often.

Exercise should NOT be something that you dread doing. Try a something new. I know I’ve said this a few times since March, but it’s only because I believe it to be really important.
